The safety of our clients, their staff and the final owner/resident in each build is a top priority at Dahlsens. That’s why we only work with suppliers who offer the best in quality, technology and design.
In this article, we explore the inner workings of one of our leading suppliers, Bremick, whose world-class fasteners can be found in major construction projects such as the MCG Great Southern Stand, Q1 Skyscraper Queensland and the Barangaroo Casino Development Sydney. The same manufacturing standards are applied to the Bremick products sourced by Dahlsens for our builder and trade clients.
The Bremick story
Australian owned, and with more than 50 years’ industry expertise, Bremick has forged a lasting reputation for superior engineering, safety standards and product design and are recognised for their specialisation in the industrial and petrochemical industries.
“All Bremick products meet and exceed Australia’s stringent building quality standards,” explains Retail Division Manager, Mike Sayers. “Our reputation for quality means Bremick fasteners are used in more critical applications than those of any other fastener supplier in Australia.”
Founded in 1965 by Michael Hawksford, Bremick began in a small Sydney warehouse in the inner city suburb of Alexandria. Today, the family business has flourished with three core divisions, 12 distribution centres and two quality control laboratories across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
Bremick today
Strict quality control is at the heart of Bremick’s reputation. Laboratory testing equipment is replicated at each of Bremick’s offshore manufacturing plants and all quality testing sites are managed by an independent professor from the University of Newcastle.
“This is to ensure we maintain equal safety standards across each of our quality testing laboratories. For even greater safety and quality control our innovative, Sydney-based location is NASA-accredited and managed by a qualified metallurgist,” explains Mike.
“Bremick’s stringent testing process also includes exposing our product to outdoor test sites in highly corrosive locations – an element that goes one step further to ensuring we produce a cutting-edge product range designed to withstand unexpected circumstances.”
The Dahlsens Bremick partnership
A long-standing Dahlsens supplier, Bremick have recently elected to expand their product range.
“In conjunction with Dahlsens, Bremick is pleased to offer a more extensive product range specifically designed to meet the needs of tradespeople, builders and commercial customers,” says Mike.
“This includes a wider range of decking and roofing screws with larger packs of high volume products that are better suited to the requirements of our Dahlsens client base.”
“As part of Dahlsens’ growing relationship with Bremick, we are also able to provide clients with exclusive access to Revolution B8 coating for your self-drilling screw needs.”
A superior coating, B8 is eight times tougher than conventional class 4 coatings and extremely abrasion resistant with double the corrosion protection of conventional class 4 coatings. This means it provides 30 per cent faster drilling and minimal coating loss during installation.
The Revolution B8 coating is available with Metal Hex Head, T17 Timber, T17 Decking and Bugle battens to suit your installation requirements.
