It might have been cold and wet in the Riverina region of NSW on 2 June, but not inside the shed at the Dahlsens trade site in Griffith, where more than 60 of our valued customers and suppliers gathered for a spit roast BBQ and a friendly game of darts.
Branch Manager Kurt Henderson had been waiting a while to put on his next sensational spit roast, so he made sure the fire was crackling and the beers were cold.
“Our last spit roast was in 2019, so the whole team was keen to finally get together and put on a fantastic night for all,” Kurt says. “It was great to see customers meet the team over a beer and a feed and have a chance to relax.”
As the roast beef and chicken slowly sizzled on the spit, our builder customers caught up on the latest quality products and advice from our premier suppliers — Assa Abloy, Paslode, Makita, Corinthian Doors, ITW Proline and Stramit.
Kitted out in Dahlsens hats, caps and hoodies, our builders listened as Assa Abloy showed off its innovative new Yale Digital Unity Entrance Lock, while Paslode demonstrated its improved FrameMaster nail gun. Corinthian Doors highlighted the benefits of the new Platinum Cavity Slider.
There was also a friendly game of darts to keep things casual, with our guests winning instant camping prizes when they hit the bullseye, and raffle tickets if they hit the stars on the board.
Some won through sheer luck while others through pure skill as the darts flew and the beer flowed. But everyone was a winner on the night thanks to the efforts of our team at Griffith who certainly know how to put on a sensational BBQ spit roast.
