In our last edition of Trademark we let you know the new Bairnsdale site was on target to open at the end of 2022. To thank our customers and community for choosing Dahlsens for almost a century and a half, we celebrated our new digs with a grand opening event at the site.
Two hundred guests joined us, sharing with us many comments about how great it was to catch up, see the new site become a reality and learn about new products from our 40 suppliers who were on hand to demonstrate. Great connections were made during the games and raffles, and brilliant prizes provided by suppliers were enjoyed by all.
Dahlsens came about when Johan Dahlsen ventured from Denmark to seek a new future through gold mining in East Gippsland, Victoria in 1862. He founded JC Dahlsen and Co in Bairnsdale in
1877 selling surplus mining equipment and timber and created our burgeoning business that today employs more than 1300 people across Australia.
Thank you to everyone who worked hard to create this fantastic new site. Feedback from customers is that they are enjoying the convenience and efficiency, and of course, the local team are loving their brand new surrounds. Another chapter for our ever evolving business!
