SOLITEX EXTASANA® Wall Weather Resistive Barrier

SOLITEX EXTASANA® wall underlay provides weather protection layer for your walls, under all conditions. It protects the building from wind, driving rain, and other external sources of water, whilst allowing any internal moisture to escape through the vapour permeable, non-porous TEEE* layer.

  • 180-day UV resistance & long-term durability
  • Highly vapour permeable (Class 4)
  • Weathertight & airtight weather resistive barrier (WRB)
  • Next generation non-porous monolithic technology

SOLITEX EXTASANA ADHERO® Self-Adhesive Weather Resistive Barrier

SOLITEX EXTASANA ADHERO® provides the ultimate weather protection layer for your walls and roofs under all conditions. Fully adhered to rigid substrates, SOLITEX EXTASANA ADHERO® provides ultimate protection to the building from wind, driving rain and other external sources of water, whilst allowing any internal moisture to escape through the vapour permeable, non-porous TEEE layer.

  • Fully self-adhered membrane
  • Superior UV resistance (180 days exposure)
  • Isolates any leaks caused by penetrations or accidental damage
  • Outstanding long-term durability
  • Ideal solution for pre-fab systems

Pro Clima® INTELLO® PLUS and INTELLO® conneX Air Barriers

Pro Clima® are the building envelope experts. Their weather resistant and airtight systems create healthy, durable and energy efficient buildings.

INTELLO® PLUS Intelligent Air Barrier

INTELLO® PLUS is a market leading intelligent air barrier for all construction types, providing superior energy and moisture control. INTELLO® PLUS maximises the performance of your thermal insulation, whilst restricting internal moisture entering the building envelope. INTELLO® PLUS is reinforced for strength and durability, utilising HydrosafeTM technology. This intelligent air barrier provides optimal protection against structural damage and mould, even in the event of unexpected moisture intrusion.

  • Promotes superior drying capacity with HydrosafeTM technology
  • Intelligent airtightness system (IAS) for warm, dry, healthy buildings
  • Maximises the performance of thermal insulation
  • Highly diffusion-resistant in winter
  • Superior back-diffusion capacity in summer

INTELLO®conneX Connection Strip for INTELLO® IAB System

INTELLO® conneX is a specially formulated UV-stabilised humidity-variable strip. It is the missing link for your Intelligent Air Barrier (IAB) system. INTELLO® conneX is designed to ensure the continuity of the INTELLO® and INTELLO® PLUS Intelligent Air Barrier (IAB) systems at difficult junctions. Intended for use at intermediate floor junctions and internal to external wall junctions. It’s strong and durable allowing up to 90 days of UV exposure prior to being covered by internal linings or external cladding. With humidity-variable functionality and UV stability of up to 90 days, INTELLO® conneX enables the IAB system to perform for the life of the building.

  • Promotes superior drying capacity with Hydrosafe® technology
  • UV exposure stability of up to 90 days on both sides of the membrane
  • Highly diffusion-resistant in winter climate
  • Superior back-diffusion capacity in summer
  • Available in multiple widths for differing applications

Roof sarking

Acting as a protective second skin under your roof, roof sarking provides benefits such as:

  • Protecting against mould and ceiling damage caused by roof leaks
  • Limiting the amount of dust that can enter a home

Roof sarking is available in a range of insulation types with additional capabilities such as improving a homes thermal performance or providing a secondary form of ember protection for BAL regions ranging from 12.5 to 40.

Roof sarking regulations

According to the Building Code of Australia (BCA), it is mandatory to sark all tiled, residential roofs with a rafter length over 6 metres. This regulation applies regardless of roof pitch. The BCA has other requirements relating to how a building is protected from external moisture, so it is considered best practice in the building industry to sark all tiled and metal roofs during the initial build.

Ask Dahlsens about our competitive pricing for roof sarking installation services. Roof sarking is installed under tiles and helps to minimise water damage caused from weather events such as wind-driven rain.

With a medium duty classification (AS/NZS 4200.1), it is suitable to be used in tile, metal and slate roof applications*. SOLITEX MENTO® PLUS protects your roof and building envelope from the elements during construction, whilst allowing any internal moisture to escape through the vapour permeable, non-porous TEEE† layer.

  • Excellent UV resistance (180 days exposure)
  • Highly vapour permeable (Class 4)
  • Long-term durability and strength
  • Weathertight & airtight weather resistive barrier (WRB)
  • Helps protect building from condensation

FAQs

What is builders wrap used for?

Builders wrap, also known as house wrap, is a protective material used in building construction to create a weather-resistant barrier around the exterior of a building. Its primary purposes include:

  1. Moisture Barrier
  2. Air Barrier
  3. Breathability
  4. Insulation Support

Is building wrap necessary?

Yes, building wrap is generally considered necessary for most construction projects, especially in areas prone to varying weather conditions. While not strictly mandatory in every situation, it offers multiple benefits that enhance a building’s durability, energy efficiency, and protection.

What is roof sarking?

Roof sarking is a pliable, laminated membrane installed beneath roof coverings, such as tiles or metal sheets, to provide additional protection and enhance the building’s thermal performance.
